I just picked up a Russian M44 made in 1946. I just brought it to the range with 20 rounds of Romanian surplus, the good stuff, and some Red army standard 148 grain. Every shot with the RAS made a fireball, but I don't think I got a single bit of fire with the surplus ammo, is there any explanation?
